RUSSIAN INVESTMENTS TO BE DOUBLED IN FUTURE Published on 24 September, 2009
Armenian-Russian relations coming from centuries have virgin potential, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan told Russian Sergey Briliov from “Vesti Nedeli”.
“Russia is Armenia’s military allied and trusting partner. The deeper our relations, better for us. We think those relations are important for Armenians, Russian leaders will speak for their nation, and those relations do have unused potential,” the president said.
Talking about the economic side of the relations, President Sargsyan reminded that 1300 enterprises and companies with Russian capital are founded in Armenia.
The volume of Russian investments in Armenian economy reached $2.5 billion and there are agreements on a few other projects making that figure doubled in one and a half year.
